Hügelkultur

The class is part of the Gutiérrez-Hubbell House Backyard Composting Series. Hügelkultur ("hill culture" or "mound culture") is a technique which accelerates the soil-building processes found in natural forests, without taking thousands of years. Fungi, microbes, worms and more, they all find their way here, even in our high desert setting. The class will be held outdoor so be sure to dress accordingly.
