About

A basic composting science class will be held at the Lomo Colorado Library in Rio Rancho. It is sponsored by Keep Rio Rancho Beautiful and is a part of their annual American Recycling Day event: Every Bite Counts, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.

The class will be presented with a special focus on practices for a high desert climate. A variety of home composting options will be covered. Take-home information will help a participant get started and/or improve an already chosen composting method. Prior to the class it may be useful to read our brochures: (1) Composting in the Desert, and (2) Selecting a Method that Works for You. Instructor: John Zarola.

The class is free and open to everyone. No registration is required. Come and learn how to recycle your food scraps and enjoy the other Recycling Day activities.
