Basic composting science, class to be held at the Barelas Senior Center, will be presented with a special focus on practices for a high desert climate. A variety of home composting options will be covered. Take-home information will help a participant get started and/or improve an already chosen composting method. Prior to the class it may be useful to read our brochures: (1) Composting in the Desert, and (2) Selecting a Method that Works for You. Instructors: Sandra West and John Zarola.

The class is free and open to the public. The class will be held indoors and we'll be outdoors for the community composting bins. Be sure to wear appropriate clothing and sun protection. Please register with the button below.
